A Discussion on Bravery

In this clip, from Episode Two of Jason Michaels TV, I share a story about how one of my mentors inspired me to face my fears, be brave, and become a better artist and entertainer. My special guest Grace Good shares how she had to face her fears in order to have incredible adventures like tours in Japan and across the United States.

I feel that this discussion on being brave is important and timely. I hope you will watch it, enjoy it, and that it will speak to you.

Resilience and Imagination

Discussing the power of imagination is one of my favorite things to do. As I say in the video, I believe that imagining something in your life is the first step in the act of creating it.

My question to you is, “What do you want to create in your life?” When you picture yourself living that reality in your imagination, you prepare your mind and body to realize it.

Live B-I-G to Live Your Best Life

LIVE B-I-G, my friend! B-I-G.

Inspiring people to LIVE B-I-G is my mission and I desperately want it for you.

But why? What does it mean? And how do you LIVE B-I-G anyhow? As a teenager I fell in love with entertaining audiences through acting and the art of magic. I also had Tourette Syndrome, which is a debilitating neurological disorder that manifests itself with uncontrollable body movements and vocalizations. I faced a unique set of challenges in my journey to fulfill my dream of becoming a professional entertainer.

Over the next ten years, I developed a process that helped me defy the naysayers, defeat self-doubt, and live the life that I desperately wanted to live. The result of my decade-long struggle – the powerful LIVE B-I-G system!

Resilience and Learning

My favorite part of what I share in today’s video is when I share that learning is the one inner strength that grows all other inner strengths. Want to be more compassionate? Focus on learning how to be more compassionate. Want to be better at mindfulness? Learn more about mindfulness.

My second favorite part of today’s video is the fact that when you learn something, you can never unlearn it. Much like riding a bicycle, it stays with you.

With that in mind, today is an excellent day to study how learning can help you and me increase our resilience. Whether it is kindness, inner toughness, or any other inner strength, studying how to properly learn in regards to building resilience will help you become the person you are striving to be. So, what do you want to learn today?

Resilience and Mindfulness

I’m sure you know the saying, “you are what you eat.'“ According to researchers, you are what you focus on, as well.

With that in mind, I believe that today is the perfect day to discuss mindfulness. Even though the world has slowed down, we still have many things vying for our attention. Why in the world should we be mindful? And what does that mean?

In today’s vlog, I explain mindfulness and give you some ways to better practice being in the moment. I also share how practicing mindfulness can help us deal with all the emotions that we are dealing with since so many of us are practicing self-quarantining due to COVID-19.

Resilience and Compassion

With the COVID-19 pandemic, people around the world have had to self-quarantine in order to be safe and stay healthy. Being forced to take an extreme measure like this will undoubtedly lead to frustration, sadness, loneliness, and depression for many people. There has never been a better time to develop resilience and mental toughness.

In today’s video clip, I share how compassion helps develop resilience. It is wonderful when we have compassion for others, but my focus is to help you develop compassion for yourself. Put away the self-criticism for the foreseeable future and realize that it is okay to accept your feelings for exactly what they are - perfectly natural considering the extraordinary circumstances.

Pay particular attention to the part where I discuss consoling your closest friend. That part of this short 3 minute video clip really speaks to me. I think it will you, too. Click here to watch the video and read the full article.

Book Excerpt - The School Play

I like to talk a lot about doing the impossible. You might say I’m obsessed with it. From magic tricks that appear to be impossible, to overcoming barriers that seem to be - the subject just speaks to me.

In today’s blog article, I wanted to share an excerpt from my book You Can Do the Impossible, Too! where I do something that others thought might not be possible for me to accomplish.

My hope, by sharing this, is that you might see yourself in this story. And if you don’t see yourself exactly, maybe the story will speak to that part of your soul that needs to hear it - because I firmly believe that you can do the things that feel impossible in your life, too…
