What Is Magician in the Kitchen?
I’m Jason Michaels—a magician who has spent the last 20 years amazing audiences worldwide. I’ve performed on Penn & Teller: Fool Us, entertained U.S. troops across the globe, and brought magic to stages and screens everywhere.
But here’s something you might not know about me: I love cooking. I’m not a trained chef, but I’ve always enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, experimenting, and learning new recipes.
That’s where the idea for Magician in the Kitchen came from. Each episode, I invite a professional chef to teach me how to prepare one of their favorite dishes. Along the way, I perform magic tricks using the very ingredients, utensils, and tools we’re working with.
Imagine onions disappearing, eggs transforming, or a borrowed ring ending up sealed inside a pepper. It’s cooking meets illusion—and it’s as fun to watch as it is to taste.
A Collaboration with Magic TV Legend Bob Jaffe
To bring this vision to life, I teamed up with legendary television producer Bob Jaffe, the man behind the iconic World’s Greatest Magic specials of the 1990s. With Bob’s experience producing five of the most-watched magic events in TV history, he knew exactly how to capture the energy of live illusion while keeping it fresh for today’s YouTube audience.
